To Do List for the Next Forty Years
Saturday, April 28th, 2007 at 9:30 pm(I found this list in my unpublished entries. I wrote it almost two years ago, on May 4, 2005)
- Skydive.
- Get a motorcycle
and a license to drive it(halfway done!). Buy a house(I think I’ve decided against that).- Have a kid (or maybe more, depending on how the first one turns out).
- Quit smoking (haven’t had one in two weeks!).
- Write a book (maybe I’ll try NaNoWriMo again this year).

Randy, you are my blogging/LiveJournal hero.
Seriously! You actually write quality entries.
This is the kind of list I think I need to do, myself. Not just as a "to do" list of things, but to see if I surprise myself at all.
Good luck to you, with your goals
CONGRATS on that "haven’t smoked in awhile" thing!!!
GOOD!!!!!!
cheers & loves from yer CircDesk Junkie buddy

why did you decide against buying a house? (posted on LiveJournal)

Lots of reasons. For one, I don’t like the idea of being stuck in that kind of permanence, and because I don’t like being responsible for upkeep. With all the stories I’ve heard about clogged sewer lines and other crap from homeowners I do know, I’d rather just avoid it all. (posted on LiveJournal)

While upkeep of a place is something to be considered, in the long run it’ll cost you just as much, or more, if you just keep renting.
But when you own the place there’s all sorts of benefits. You might feel differently about not wanting a place later, unless you plan on being a vagabond as a career choice. (posted on LiveJournal)
