So do you get any kind of weird looks when you introduce yourself as Brock? I’ve been introducing myself to everyone — personally and professionally — as Web for the past 4 years and I’ve come to actually enjoy the double take people do when they’re shaking my hand and I’m telling them "I’m Web". Been going by the name for 11+ years now, so it seems perfectly natural and common to me, I forget that very few people have that first name.

Nope. Outside of work, I’ve been Brock for about seven years. There are other Brocks out there, but once in a while people are like, "Brock? Oh, that’s a cool name."

Yeah! that is so awesome! I’m glad this went through, good luck on the rest of the changing I remember how much "fun" the name-changing process was.

My fiancees last name is Drummond. Rather than her taking my name, we’re taking each other’s last names as our middle names. We’re not getting married till next September, but I need to get a passport, and I figured it would be easier to change it now rather than updating my passport with everything else later on.
